Correction: Calea, not strada moților

Posted on September 29, 2026 by Fatca Pop

I think we got the address wrong.  Copy-Paste failed us, we should have done our own research.  But we got it from the horse’s mouth?  Well, I think the horse was wrong.  That’s why horses Neigh instead of Yeah.  (Stupid pun of the day.)

“Centrul Cultural Coreean, Strada Motilor, Nr. 11, etaj 4, sala 403.”  No no no!  Classes will be tonight at 7pm at Calea Moților.  There is no Strada Moților.  Not in Cluj, anyway.  It must be Calea, Calea, Calea.

We looked for Strada Moților in Cluj, and there doesn’t appear to be any.  What are we talking about?  Korean language classes, of course.  You might need to know Korean, to follow your favorite K-Pop band, to understand spies, or just to be like that guy in “Yes Man.”  There are other reasons too of course, Koreans are nice people.

Even if most of the Koreans you meet here speak English, there is Korean literature and you can watch Korean films without subtitles.  Then you’ll understand where Tarantino got some of his ideas from.  (You can also learn Italian, English, French… he “borrowed” from a lot of directors.)  And if you pay for those expensive Squid Game cereals and sodas, well, why not learn Korean?

Anyway, we looked on their social media page, and it seems that back in 2023, they listed their address as Calea Moților.  Recently, someone changed that to Strada Moților.  Did they move to Turda?  No, I think it’s just a typo that got copied.  Calea Moților 11 is a university building, and it used to be their address.  Strada Moților, that doesn’t seem to exist in Cluj.  The closest one is Turda, but there’s also one in Bucharest.  Neither seem to be university buildings.  There are also some in smaller towns, little houses.

Anyway, let’s see.  We’ll ask around tomorrow, and if anyone successfully found the Korean Cultural Center in Turda, we will print another retraction.  But, Calea, calea moților, not strada.

Centrul Cultural Coreean, Strada Calea Motilor 11, etaj 4, sala 403.

And if you work for the Korean Center and your post isn’t arriving, now you know why.
