European Men’s volleyball tournament is here in Cluj. You can get the tickets at eventim (we hear that the link doesn’t work on some phones. If it doesn’t work for you, you might need to try another device or another browser.)
Yes, this is an international championship of volleyball greats; you’ll see top players from countries like Turkey, Switzerland, Latvia, France, Germany, and of course, Romania. Volleyball fans or players might pick up some tips on how to play, or just share in the excitement of watching the best display their skill.
You can still buy tickets for games from the 10th to the 16th of September. Prices depend upon your seat and which game you attend, and regular tickets range from 45 lei to 60 lei, with some discounts for youth. (We hear under sixes can go free if they don’t use a seat. I don’t know how long junior can sit on your shoulders before getting bored.)
In addition to youth discounts, there are group discounts. Go with a friend, and you might get a seat for less than 45 lei. That’s a great deal, consider how much tickets for the last world cup cost. Here you can see athletes who haven’t been bribed to lose for much less than that. Yeah, 45 lei for a live show? Why not?
We hear there was a game yesterday. Sorry, we tried to find out more on one of those browsers that didn’t work.
If you’re not in Cluj, it might be showing on Digi Sport 3 or Eurosport or something. Or, maybe take a bus to BT Arena and see it in person.
(If you’re not interested in Volleyball, don’t worry. The cinemas and malls and parks and theatres and restaurants are still open. Or, if you are free to go out earlier, the museums and botanical garden and so on are… still open.)
(We were also planning on reviewing changes in Voyo. We recommend Way Out West, with Laurel and Hardy. We do NOT recommend Pardon Us nor the one in Switzerland. It’s funny to see the duo in prison, but the humor just isn’t there, it is replaced by embarrassing old stereotypes. And Louis de Funez is on! Not his best films, but the Gendarme series! Which will it be, volleyball, or silly armed French police officers?)
