Tickets for the women’s tennis championship are now on sale. The timing is great for many students, 30 January to 6th February. (So, after exams. And some of you have a couple of weeks off.)
Romania has some of the best tennis players in the world, and I am sure that other greats from around the world will attend. According to Ziua de Cluj, you can get a ticket from only 45 lei. That’s a great price to see excellence. However, the tickets that are left for the final cost much more than that, with 160 lei being the cheapest available. (The final is almost sold out, even if tickets just went on sale yesterday.)
Even normal match days have very few seats available, so if we waited to closer to the event to report on it, there might be no point. You can still get “early bird” tickets for a half day for 45 lei, on some of the matches, or even 55 lei for a full day.
(Maybe it’s not sold out? Maybe more expensive seats will become available closer to the actual event.)
The tournament will take place at BT Arena in Cluj. The tournament website is https://transylvaniaopen.ro/ Tickets are sold by entertix.
